Competition confirmed for this Friday, March 7
Adjusted format due to safety conditions with only 3 categories out of 4 to drop
Dropping order: Ski Women, Snowboard Women, Snowboard Men
FIEBERBRUNN, Austria – March 6, 2025: Following overnight strong winds that affected the snowpack on the Wildseeloder , the FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance has made adjustments to ensure athlete safety. Only part of the venue meets competition standards, leading organizers to modify the event format.
Tomorrow’s competition will proceed with three categories and 30 riders, instead of the originally scheduled four categories and 50 riders. The Ski Men category has been postponed, with plans to reschedule it during the waiting period following expected snowfall on Monday/Tuesday.
“We always prioritize the safety of our athletes, and after assessing the conditions, this was the best decision to ensure a fair and secure competition,” said Nicolas Hale-Woods. “We are optimistic about rescheduling the Ski Men category and will continue to monitor conditions closely.”
